Hosted by Mark Ripley and OT Ambassador Ellie Burcher, this Specialist Seating Masterclass discusses the importance of specialist seating provision.

Upon competition of the Specialist Seating Masterclass, participants will:

• Have developed a clinical understanding of the benefits of specialist seating provision
• Be able to identify normal posture patterns and postural changes
• Have an understanding of how to determine pressure ulcer risk
• Be able to support safe seating transfers i.e. from chair to bed or chair to commode, and be able to explore moving and handling solutions for applying a sling whilst seated
• Be able to confidently conduct a specialist seating assessment and be aware of postural considerations and postural support accessories
• Identify the right seating solution to resolve any seating issues
