Following the acquisition and integration of Handicare Patient Handling UK, Direct Healthcare Group have formed one Safe Moving & Handling team under the leadership of National Sales Manager, William Kelly, creating an enhanced customer experience and an optimised service to provide support for healthcare professionals.
Through our expanded and enhanced team, we are now able to offer nationwide coverage of a qualified Safe Moving & Handling team, ensuring that healthcare professionals are always within close proximity to support and manage caseloads by providing moving and handling solutions.
Under Direct Healthcare Group’s leadership, the team has grown to 10 professionals, each of whom are qualified with A1 Risk Solutions to RoSPA Moving and Handling (level 4), enabling them to offer professional guidance and moving and handling best practice suited to an individuals’ requirements. With access to a clinically focussed product portfolio including System RoMedic transfer and lifting equipment, Linido bathroom solutions and now Kirton specialist seating solutions, the teams outlook is to enable mobility for increased health outcomes and release time to care through ergonomic efficiencies, providing healthcare professionals with a total solutions partner for around the clock care in bed, at the bedside and beyond.
Kirton specialist seating solutions are uniquely combined with Direct Healthcare Group’s award-winning pressure care to provide the user with excellent postural management and clinically proven pressure cushions. Designed and manufactured in Wales, the Kirton specialist seats offer comfort and support for individuals with mid-level postural needs, complex postural requirements and neurological conditions designed with home use in mind.
To enhance and compliment the customer experience and the Ethos Education Webinar Programme, the Safe Moving & Handling team are available to host certificated Skills Workshops and joint assessments – either virtually through the EthosGPS remote assessment service or face-to-face where considered appropriate and in line with social distancing guidelines. Through a joint assessment, the Safe Moving & Handling team aim to enable an individual to keep them at home for longer, and support hospital discharges.
