Direct Healthcare Group (DHG), a leading European manufacturer of pressure care, patient handling and specialist seating solutions, has acquired Lynch Healthcare Group; further expanding its patient handling portfolio.
Lynch Healthcare Group, based in Sunderland, manufacture a comprehensive range of patient slings, hoisting equipment, and shower chairs, including the David Lynch Tailored range which have been developed across 30 years of combined experience in assessing individuals in order to create slings that combine quality, comfort and application.
Through the
acquisition of Lynch Healthcare Group, DHG further broaden their patient
handling sling solutions, and bathroom safety solutions through the Austin
Shower Cradle, providing healthcare professionals with a comprehensive
portfolio that enables patient movement safely across an increased patient
population.
Furthermore, the acquisition increases DHG’s capacity to service our UK
customers, providing a significantly increased customer experience on the
servicing of patient handling products.
The acquisition of Lynch Healthcare Group follows on from DHG’s recent acquisitions of Handicare’s European and Rest of World patient handling and bathroom safety portfolios, and GATE Rehab Development, to form DHG’s Safe Moving & Handling and Bathroom Safety Solutions divisions.
Graham Ewart, CEO at Direct Healthcare Group, said: “The acquisition of Lynch Healthcare Group further underpins our commitment to providing UK customers with high quality, clinically effective pressure area care, patient handling and bathroom safety solutions for 24 hour care in, around, and above the bed, and beyond. More so, the acquisition further enables us to service our expanded patient handling portfolio, ensuring our healthcare workers are provided with effective, reliable patient lifting products with minimal disruption or down time.”
David Lynch, Managing Director at the Lynch Healthcare Group, said “We’re excited by the opportunity to be able to continue to provide our current customers with the level of service that they have expected from us over the years, further backed and supported by Direct Healthcare Group through this acquisition. The combination of our solutions and expertise seamlessly complement each other, providing healthcare workers who partner with Lynch Healthcare and DHG access to a broader portfolio and service level.” In December 2019, ArchiMed, a leading independent investment firm specialised in the healthcare industries, bought out Direct Healthcare Group, providing a significant capital commitment to continue to target strategic acquisitions. The acquisitions will have a particular focus on expanding Direct Healthcare Group’s European presence, whilst simultaneously adding clinically effective products that further the company philosophy of advancing movement and health.
